Join our client as the for steering the engineering and development efforts of the company’s diverse product and service portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the product engineering team, managing all aspects from recruitment and training to mentoring, ensuring timely delivery of top-notch products within budget.
- Facilitate collaboration between the product engineering and management teams to transform product visions into executable technical plans.
- Implement and uphold engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing methodologies, and comprehensive documentation.
- Keep abreast of technological advancements to maintain the company’s competitive edge and innovation status.
- Lead the development of a technology strategy that fits the company’s business goals.
- Forge and maintain partnerships with external entities, vendors, and stakeholders for seamless technology integration.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of the engineering team, focusing on productivity, quality, and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
- At least 10 years of experience in product engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated ability in delivering superior products and services, adhering to timelines and budgets.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of Linux kernel, various databases (MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch), and storage systems.
- Skilled in multiple programming languages and frameworks (Node.js, Python, Java, Go, Rust etc…) is an advantage
- Experience with major cloud services (Azure, GCP, AWS) and cloud-native development practices (Kubernetes, DevOps, CI/CD, Jenkins).
